Overview
Over the course of the semester, each of you will be asked to present a 5-minute presentation on one designer. Presentations should be visual and about the designer’s work.
Instructions
What the Presentation Needs to Include
- 8 to 10 images/selections of the designer’s most noted work. If they designed typefaces, don’t just show typefaces they created or pictures of the designer. Try to show examples of their work in use.
- Provide a 2-3 paragraph summary of the designer’s background, career highlights, and most noteworthy work. Keep a careful record of all the sources you use for this presentation, and include a bibliography of references. Bibliography can be formatted in the style you’re most comfortable with.
- Presentations must be created in InDesign (1920 px by 1080 px, landscape) and exported as a PDF. Your presentation should be organized and demonstrate thorough research on your part. You should be able to talk about the pieces you show.

Due Date(s)
- Your final PDF is due at 11 PM the night BEFORE your presentation. If it’s not in OpenLab AND Dropbox, it’ll be marked incomplete.
- Create a post in OpenLab named: Lastname_Firstname_Type Hero
- Put the direct Dropbox link to your presentation into your post.
- Give it categories “Student Posts ” and “Type Hero”
- Class 10 (Presentation Date = Friday, 9/27)
