Life long learning for a human service professional is be up to date with a material and training that is need for the diversity of the population you choose for the duration of your career. My professional goals in it describes the ideal human service workers I want to become. Being culturally competent allows for so much progress as a professional. I would like to grow in all the areas such as cultural diversity and educationally. I have some of each aspect culture and education, however I feel I still have so much more to learn and experience as a human service professional.

I have two graduate programs in mind that I am considering. I want to attend LIU graduate program for social workers. This program interest me because I feel this school will be able to provide me with the necessary tools and practice I will need in the field for working with homeless youth and the foster care system. I feel my masters in social work will help me become stronger in the skill set of counseling and providing services. The second graduate program I am considering is the CUNY school of Journalism. This graduate program interest me because I have always wanted to  be in this field because it has always come most natural to me. Another reason I am interested in the journalism degree is to see how I can combine human services and journalism to help individuals who have no voice.
