I am doing well, learning online is a blessing but also something that will be difficult to fully transition to mentally. I have been well preparing with family for the quarantine lifestyle. When I go out its almost like a ghost town few walk the streets with masks and gloves, which in my opinion is a little too rash or ineffective, especially this early on. However I haven’t done much in the recess, other than get the necessary supplies needed for distanced learning. I can not say that online learning is the answer we needed because it is quite difficult to reach out or have everyone connected to one website from home. Some of my other classes are not doing so well since this online learning has commenced, other than that people living with me have gone crazy over the virus gotten bored and bother one another for entertainment. I can say that this semester did not go out in the way everyone has planned it to go out. However this is just some crazy memory that we will look back on and say “shit 2020 really screwed us over”. Hopefully the rest of college is not as difficult as it has gotten so far.
Daniel!
So good to hear from you. Yes, I agree. I did not bargain for this, and I can not imagine how it must feel for you to have your first year in college turn out to be a pandemic confinement. Dreams, expectations…as a mother I keep thinking about what I wanted from my son, and now, what the reality has made of those dreams. He seems to be doing better with it than I!
I am going to ask you to double down and get even more detailed than ever. Your world is going to have to become your pen at this point — at least in my class.
That’s a bigger world than we might imagine.
Best,
-Prof. S.
When I am bored I start playing my games like CSGO, Minecraft, League, and animal crossing or clean. I have been watching some shows here some of the shows Brooklyn Nine-Nine, community,9-1-1, modern family, bob burgers, and superstore. that might help you pass time faster.
I have been watching netflix all night since the outbreak started and when we stopped going to school after doing assignments and so far it has helped me be the one sane person out of my family lol
Since the Coronavirus invaded our New York City, I have been looking at two windows for the longest time of my day. The glass window of my living room to the streets, counting the number of cars that pass by and wondering where they are going to if they are not scared of the virus?
Secondly, I have been looking at the Windows 10 Operating System on my laptop computer, browsing the websites and checking the news on where the Coronavirus has moved or hiding within the hours, wishing I was Superman or Spiderman to stop it. unfortunately, I got no powers.
Staying home and not doing anything useful other focusing on these online classes are becoming very challenging. Me personally, I wished for a great semester. I wanted to make memories and enjoy the beautiful spring weather with my friends and my boyfriend. This pandemic situation is going to become history for future generations and hopefully nothing like this ever happens again but all I hope is everyone is safe at home and just stay patient while we all get through this. Just hang in there guys. Sooner or later, we will all get out of this and go back to living our normal life
yea this semester has gone to absolute hell but it will end soon, it is only one semester compared to the rest of your college life. This will just be a funny memory that we look back on and say “wow I rlly was able to do school while laying in my bed”.
Yeah this semester just needs to end as quickly as possible so does this virus.
