Introduction

  1. Ecstatic
  2. Being an online class student during this pandemic is the best idea. Of course, there are some technical difficulties that we would have, or the environmental impact, but I think we can all get through, and it would become our unique experiences. Most of the time it is difficult to find a win-win decision. This is my second semester being online class, for some reason I kind of got used to it. Before the class got started, I was worried about how it will be during the online class, worried about if the professor can not contact me or I would miss my class. However, Professor Sarah Schmerler was the first professor that emailed me about all the details for the class, and even had a nice introduction video about herself. As a student I felt lucky to have such a thoughtful professor.
  3. I chose watercolor as my picture to show to everyone. In my free time I like to draw my watercolor and listen to some relaxing piano music. This can help my brain to get away from other thoughts. Watercolor also connects me to my grandma, she draws watercolor in her free time as well, she’s very talented at what she did. She affects me a lot in how to build a good personality.

Assignment#1

Word–Vexed

I think college is much more complicated than high school, and I still need some time to adapt. The most important thing is that I am not very familiar with the software I need to use, and I think I need more time to get familiar with those software. And readings given by the professor in first lesson is difficult for me. This makes me vexed, but it also made me understand that I need to work harder. The only benefit I can feel about being an online student is not having to get up too early to go to school.

This photo is very meaningful to me. This photo is the cover of the video software. Most of my happy time comes from this video software.

assignment #1

  1. one word: unprepared
  2. I am honestly trying so hard to stay as relaxed as possible, but its looking really hard for that to happen. i havent really done much academically since my sophomore year of highschool, so with all this stuff coming at me all at once i feel like im kinda screwed. and on top of that i havent taken a single math or english class in a year so i have a feeling im gonna struggle with that too. hopefully its just a little anxiety that im able to brush off and move past though. lets see how this goes.
  3. i chose this picture because i took when i visited my home country, pakistan, earlier this year and it just kind of reminds me how my parents moved from there to give me a better life and how one day they want to move back so i’ll have to work really hard to be able to make their wish come true
