I donât remember how i actually learned to read but I learned with all the help with these people. It all started with my Mom she will tell me to read from the words on the can of soda to the words on the billboard. If the object has words then I can practice my readings anywhere. She would even make up a word and ask me is that a real word to trick me as a kid. My dad would also do the same when my mom wasnât around but my dad would use different words then my mom to help me expand my vocabulary. But my reading went forward when my teachers came into my life. I was told to read a book a day to help me read fluently and that built up my confidence to read anywhere. My teachers helped me to read but the writing is when i had a lot of struggles on. As a kid i would like to write i donât remember why but i hated to write and till this day i do. But it all started with my parents. They would give me easy words like ” ball” to spell out and write on a piece of paper. That helped me to get used to writing and helped me also not to be nervous when i am writing. My teachers told me to write a sentence a day which turned into paragraphs and then which turned into essays. But the person who most impacted my writing i would have to say were my uncles and aunts because they would consistently push me and that gave me the desire to actually get better at something i disliked doing. That also made me practice more in writing and get better at much more things in life. Like how to communicate with others. i learned how to be patient with myself and how to give other people time as well. There was this one time I took a job with my cousin which was tutoring little kids in a middle school around my house and i took that job because of the money that i would get paid and i thought that this would be a easy job but i didn’t stop to even realize that i would have to deal with kids and get frustrated and stressed when they donât listen but i also know now that kids are going to be kids they donât know any better. But as time went by yes i was getting paid but i started to hate kids more because they wouldn’t listen. I ended up quitting that job because i didn’t have the patience to deal with little kids i didn’t have patience in general. I wanted things now, I wanted change now. But now i realize that it takes time for things to change in doesnât happen overnight . When i took this job i was 16! and now i am 19 and now i further understand that there is more things in life then money now i take jobs because of to gain knowledge and experience then how much i am getting paid but donât get me wrong, Of Course money has a big role to play in life but why take a job that you dislike just because it pays a little extra . Why not get both a job you enjoy doing and making enough money, doesn’t that sound better!. I wouldn’t change anything that i went though through out my life. From learning how to read and write from meeting amazing people that taught me and helped me accomplish my goals to when i made a selfish decision for a job. All of this gave me experience and taught me to better understand things. To be patient and also learn every single day because we are always learning new things no matter how old you are and in what stage in your life you are in. I am grateful for going through this and learning all the step of the way.
