Skyscrapers

image

I took this picture last year. I was on the rooftop looking towards Manhattan when I saw the buildings which look amazing to me. These skyscrapers are very amazing but the people who designed, constructed them are more amazing, they have create great buildings which is being used for years and give the city a great look. I think some of these buildings are residential and most of them are offices. These skyscrapers demonstrated how great this city is, full of activities and work, it also makes the city stand out for having them but it’s not that great for buildings that can’t match their height because tall buildings block the view for small buildings.

Music

I went to my old high school this past Friday, October sixteen and visited the music department in the basement. I went to my old orchestra room where there are lots of chairs and instruments. There are four double basses and six cellos on the racks in the back near the air conditioner. Also there are signs near the instruments that are helpful tips for new violin, viola, cello, and bass players to help them better with their music. The room has a hardwood floor and lights every two to three square on the ceiling.Music

Tony’s Pier

This Photo was taken in City Island, New York on October 17, 2015. The area I took this photo is from Tony’s Pier. We normally don’t go to Tony’s Pier on fall. So, I decide to take pictures as memories. There was a cage in front of me so I had to maneuver around it cages so I don’t have it blocking the photo. I took this photo because of the shade of the sky. As you can see, It gets really dark from the top and start to get lighter from working your way down the photo. On the side of the photo, it is New York City. You can see a few buildings. But, You mainly see lights shining out the building.

20130623_162546

This a picture i took about 3 years ago of me starting up a barbecue in my backyard near dusk time. I decided to post this certain picture mostly because of the back story. My dad and I normally bbq with coal but we didn’t have enough that day and we didn’t want to go to the store. So we decided to improvise and put a few newspaper paper where we’d put the charcoal, sprayed it with lighter fluid, spark a match and the end product was this massive flame. It eventually calmed down and i made some good bbq wings that day.

Cloud

This photo was taken in USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing, New York where the US open tennis competition took place. I went there a month ago and I watched the great match which was the semi-finals of man’s single. I saw the weather was very good on that day and this photo shows the biggest stadium and those subways were parking near the stadium. The interesting part of this photo for me is those clouds. It is so beautiful and it ‘s seemed very close to the stadium.

Freedom tunnel

IMG_7594

This is the freedom tunnel located in harlem. I took this picture around 11:30. Many local graffiti artist come to this tunnel to leave their marks . However a bunch of people with their spray can and book bags aren’t the only ones coming through this tunnel. This tunnel is used for Amtrak and every now and again a train will rush by. My friend Elizabeth is standing bathed in the suns light next to the track. I chose this picture because nothing was altered but it looks so artsy. The light coming through the top of the tunnel and how far away I am changes the picture

Reflection Of Us

2015-10-14 13.57.43

This photo was taken in Downtown Brooklyn, on Jay street while I was on a break in between classes. I was walking into the park and realized that there were little thought bubbles on each light pole. It was interesting to see that each bubble had its own message. This one stuck out to me because it made me think about how all the things around us, even strangers have the ability to reflect us in some type of way, shape or form. I took many photos of different messages but when I look at this one, its quite interesting because the angle of the photo makes it seem as if the message “The truth is I reflect you” is coming from the trees that surround it. I am fascinated by nature itself so, the way the photo came out made me think of how our actions reflect nature and nature reflects us. The colors of the trees add more contrast to the photo which gives the message in the bubble a certain brightness. Overall, I feel like this photo really displays the beauty and reflection of nature.

SUNY New Paltz

IMG_2889

I took this picture almost a year ago at SUNY New Paltz in New Paltz, New York . This is a statue/steel sculpture of a larger stick figure holding up a really small figure. There was no description or information board near this figure, however it was very catchy.

October 17th, 2015

I chose this photo because it is uncommon to fly in a special livery plane. I also chose this photo because it is the second time that I ever flew on Delta Airlines and it was also my first flight that was not heading back home to Jamaica.

fire escape

firse escapeThis photo was taken by me in my apartment in Brooklyn(Flatbush). Some people would say that I was standing and taking this picture but the picture was actually taken by my glass window, although it was taken from my window it appears very clear and the glass  is un noticed. This picture represent the life of a New Yorker because we all know that there are many building close to each other in New York . you wont be able to take  a picture like this in Arizona  just because there is so much open land and space. This photo is also a documentary photo
