Where I’m from, Flatbush , where you’ll find every a different cultures in any house bordering the streets. It’ll probably have you thinking you were back in the West Indies in one part, then Spain or some other place in the next.
Where I’m from, kids roam the streets with many activities to do, right on Cortelyou is a library, then there’s the Boys and Girls club for kids to go to after school and right across the street would be PS. 6 and Erasmus High School.
Where I’m from, there’s so many different types of transportation for you to get to where you have to go, ranging from number trains like the 2 and 5, to letter trains, the B and Q trains to buses, B41 and more.
Where I’m from its less crime ridden than it was in the early 2000’s and 90’s, every night there were gun shots breaking the nice midnight breeze and creating suspicion in the air, not many people would be outside after this happening.
Where I’m from it’s not as sweet and cool as a beach vacation spot but it does get you ready for the world that’s ready to eat you up and spit you out like garbage.
