Class Summary ENG 1101 9/12/12

Good Afternoon Classmates,

In this session of ENG1101 for students that were not present on Monday we started off by discussing what the companion book consisted of. Furthermore we went on to talk bout the glossary editing and that everything you edit don’t forget to hit save so that others have the opportunity to edit it as well. In addition to this if it still occurs and the same person has been editing it for too long then message Professor Rosen. Also for those students who need to print documents you can proceed to rooms G600 & Atrium Learning Center.  After this we peer edited each others works to give the writer perspective into what they could improve upon in there essay. Professor Rosen also discussed how we should not just criticize the work but rather credit the writer of the essay for the things that they did very well.

Also Professor Rosen said “This semester, we will use Dropbox.com to submit, store, and share our work. You will need to create an account on Dropbox.com using the email address to which I’ve sent your invitation. I have already invited you to share a folder with the class. Once you have an account, you will be able to join that folder and use it to share files that everyone in our class will have access to. You can also use the site to store your own files in a different folder.” Also remember it isn’t necessary to download its optional.

Lastly we have to upload or essay to the dropbox website and put it with our class folder. Folowing this we made a cover letter which asked the foloowing questions:

1-what are you most proud of in your essay?

2-what in your essay still needs work?

3-what in the assignment gave you the most trouble?

4-is there anything I should know about you as a writer, student etc. that will help me as I read your essay?
