On page 245 Phillip Lopate author of “The Brooklyn Bridge” started by mentioning the raw profile of the bridge. LopateĀ discussesĀ theĀ principleĀ beauty of the bridge by describing in detail why he thinks Brooklyn Bridge is “handsome”. An example ofĀ LopateĀ descriptionĀ of the bridge comes when he talks about the elegance of the cables that curve downward across the bridge.Ā Also Lopate mentions how the cables haveĀ alsoĀ been compared to the likes of ” a harp, a spiders web, and angel wings”.
