This article from the New Yorker talks about two Brooklyn native writers one named Brian merlis and the other John Manbeck. In this article you see both writers literally call the others work pure crapĀ Brian merlis even stats thatĀ “if you can put together a group of old photos and a few words , you might get published and be able to call yourself an expert”Ā pretty much saying that john manbeck doesn’t qualify at all as a good author or even an author. Throughout the article you see shots fired from both ends talking about one another’s careers .oneĀ ( John mabeck ) wors as a professor at kingsborough community college and the otherĀ (brian Merlis)Ā teachs history at a queens high school .in the end the article seems to be purely an arguemeant on creditablity of one another .
