For our Effective Speaking class of 9/10, the class had to perform their Self-Introduction Speeches that included your passion, philosophy, and where you see yourself in 10 years. Through this, we got a chance to better know our classmates, and it served as a great warm up/ice breaker to aid the rest of the speeches in the course, especially with the feedback that we will receive. The class did a great job overall and even both Professor Davis and Professor Rosen thought they were great as well, considering that it was only the first speech of many to come. After the speech, the class had a chance to share their own comments and thoughts about the presentation. For the next class of Wednesday 9/12, we have to read Ch. 4 and turn in pg. 17 of the “Student Activities” book. Also, you will have to bring in pg. 19 with you to do in class. As for the presentation grades, we will receive them on the same Wednesday.
