Throughout the week, I’ve been searching for various topics on what to write my instruction manual about and I’ve come down to the idea on writing my instruction on how to take a proper portrait picture using a professional camera. I’ve been a photographer for about a year and a half now and I believe that I have the proper knowledge in conducting an instruction manual in this proposal.

The instructional manual is the first paper that i’m actually having fun with, my manual is about how to deadlift. I chose this specific workout because it took me months to actually figure out how to execute the movement correctly. And making an instructional manual on how to deadlift, is not just an assignment to me. Because it is a way to actually share my knowledge with others.

I found this assignment boring, however, I did like the fact that it was about something  I enjoy doing which is bar tending. I had fun taking pictures of the steps listed in the instruction manual.

So far during this fall semester there’s been a lot of interesting material where we’ve been working on, including topics from learning how to properly summary an article, at college level, to defining scientific words in a more complex way rater that simple standard definitions. Personally, I always used to think that I did not like to write papers since English is not my first language; however later I realized I was kinda good at it, and ultimately  writing turned to be something natural at this point.  do not have problems writing papers  but yes It takes me time and that’s my main issue now,

For Project 3 ( Instruction Manual), I’m currently working how to prepare a traditional Ecuadorian dish that contains Seafood. I have broken down, what type of ingredients are need it and also have some allergic warnings to certain products and  proper way to use sharp tools in the kitchen.  I will be adding proper ways to make the dish and times that each ingredients need to be cook. A slide of the manual can be more interesting to shop each step of the food as it start to come together instead of a regular page. At the same time i will be preparing the dish to be aware of any missing details or warnings to be added.

So far the instructional manual has been going well. I have a solid understanding of what I’m writing my instructional manual on and I’m continuously being engaged on the project, as the topic aligns with my personal interests.

So far, the instruction manual is going well, but still need more work to get the word count required. In the coming month I’m planning on studying more as the end of the semester is approaching. I have projects from this class and other classes that I’m working on. So there’s  going to be a lot of work to be done in the rest of the semester.

So far my work is in progress for the instructional manual. I have some brainstormed ideas for how to play the violin. Such processes that I have included is what type of violin you should buy, what comes with the violin set and so on. Also will add to my manual how to play the music notes on the violin, how to hold it in a certain position, and even give an example of a song such as “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” for beginners to understand the concept. As I put down these ideas I really think it will turn out as lengthy than I thought it would be. Overall, I’m excited in creating this manual with my knowledge in playing the violin, and can help others to play as well.

As it pertains to Project 3 and assembling the lab manual, I am trying new things with creating the manual as a whole. I hope that I am able to reach the word limit that I need to reach to satisfy the conditions that need to be met. It has been interesting trying to figure out how I wanted to set the manual up, but I think that I would be able to finish the project in the way that it needs to be. The group work is going to be interesting. Working with new people and seeing their habits and much they will be able to contribute to finish the group work. I have had experiences where group members have not pulled their weight, so it will be interesting to see. I want to take the rest of the semester and take everything step by step. I want to be able to take my time and do not rush the assignments. 

This project so far is a lot easier to manage than the previous two. With the project I no longer have to look up research targets or face the fear of forgetting to leave a citation in the right place. With the project having freedom of choice I struggled to pick a topic at first, however once I learned that we’re truly free in our choice this was no longer a problem. With my limited amount of experience in anything I choose a topic I knew I could manage the best. My current status in this project is about forty percent complete. I have an outline that am following so am currently not stuck anywhere. Also so far I’ve completed my intro for the manual. The intro is just a short sentence detailing what the manual will be about. I’ve almost completed the table of contents. The table of contents is left with some breathing room in case I add or remove parts from my project. My project also includes a warning page, however there isn’t much to add on it at the moment, this will also be revised once I continue working on my project.
