Thomas Hauner is a PhD candidate in economics at the CUNY Graduate Center and a lecturer at Brooklyn College. His research focusses on the macroeconomic impacts of wealth and income inequality, particularly financial stability. He is also interested in economic history, development, and political economy. Prior to graduate school, he worked for the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) while moonlighting as a concert photographer in New York City. Prior to moving to New York, Thomas earned an AB in economics from the University of Chicago. He currently lives in Brooklyn with his wife and pet bunny.
