Irena Xhurxhi is a fifth year PhD student in the Economics Program at CUNY-the Graduate Center. Her research focuses on the fields of Health and Labor Economics. More specifically she is looking at the effect of Medicaid Expansion on several outcomes such as Mental Health and Substance Abuse. She enjoys teaching, and has taught at several CUNY colleges such as Queens, Brooklyn and York College, and she is very excited to be serving as a Quantitative Fellow at NY City Tech this semester.
