Favorite Scene from Death on the Nile by Rubab Tariq

One of my favorite scenes from the novel Death on the Nile is when HP  told Tim that he will not accuse him for stealing the pearls because he saw the love in the eyes of Rosalie for tim.I love the part it just touched my heart when he stood up. He stood speechless for a moment.

His statements felt inadequate at the time, yet they may have satisfied his listeners.

‘Thank you!’ he exclaimed. ‘There’s no need to give me another chance!’ It was the point of relaxation for Tim that whatever he was doing was not right and he will never ever do this again . In the movie character name was not Bouc who steal the pearls but he died in the movie while he try to tell the name of the murderer.

Translating  Roddy Doyle, “New Boy” (2007)

The story of “New Boy,” written by Roddy Doyle, depicts nine-year-old Joseph’s first day of school in Ireland after he moved from Africa  to the different environment and school system. The main characters in which the movie and story revolve are Joseph , Teacher lady , Seth Quinn, Christan kelly and Hazel O’Hara. The setting took place in school of ireland .

The first topic I’d want to talk about is narrative. The story is portrayed through the eyes of Joseph, a nine-year-old African refugee who is starting school in Ireland for the first time. The film alternates between scenes of Joseph’s prior school in Africa and his new school in Ireland, showing the differences between schooling in his native country and Ireland from his perspective. Joseph’s insightful perspective on the various ties between instructor and student in both countries is offered to us.

I Will discuss the milk scene that occurs in the New Boy.While Green presents an overly colorful picture of Doyle’s story that contains some new elements, the film nearly precisely follows the original story in the conclusion, and so conforms to Linda Cahir’s traditional  translation.

In the movie the milk scene where Christan kelly threw a milk carton to Joseph has so many similarities and differences which i can tell my readers. First i will talk about sound in the difference and the main difference that i notice was non diegetic sound in that milk scene in the background there was instrument playing that was not in the movie but you they add in the movie to seems more dramatic it also allows the audience the ability to connect emotionally to your characters and their situation.

The similarities I noticed was mise en scene, in both film and text, both scenes took place in the playground when they have lunch break ,all the characters are the same in both film and text. But in the movie the after he threw the milk on joseph was not potrate in detail as text. The way joseph try to take his sweater to wash it but he notice that his shirt also wet so there is no way to wash .

In conclusion ,New Boy is a hat immerses the audience in the mind of a third-person character and allows them to experience what it’s like to be an outsider “The New Boy.” The audience experiences this emotion through the mind of the Protagonist, in this instance “Joseph.”

PERSIA

Persia, a historical region of southwestern Asia associated with modern-day Iran. For centuries, the term Persia was used to refer to a region of southern Iran formerly known as Persis, alternatively as Prs or Parsa, modern Frs. The ancient Greeks and other peoples gradually extended the use of the name to include the entire Iranian plateau. The people of that region have traditionally referred to their country as Iran, which means “Land of the Aryans.” In 1935, that name was officially adopted.

In the novel she wrote the name  Persepolis Marjane father told her that  before this country was named iran it was persia empire but later in 1953 Reza shah and the father of the last shah named persia as Iran.British wants someone who rule persia, that works under them so they chose low rank soldier Reza shah to rule that country and they help him but in return british wats oil which was big source of their income .That’s how destruction of Persia began.

The veil

I like the first chapter, the veil, because of how suddenly life changed for a little girl and how she tried to overcome that situation when islamic revolution started and a Little girl named Majane  didn’t know what a veil was, and they forced her to put it in her schools . She studied before a French non-religious school where all kids sat together and all were treated the same boys and girls but in this new school of hers was not co education .Her upbring was different then others because her parents were muslim but very modern no restriction in the home. Thats why  her parents were protesting against new the shah’s regime and likewise encourage Marjane to speak her mind even when her ideas fall outside the accepted political and social norm. She wants to be a prophet and night time she see God come to her night and she discuss everything to the God.When teacher get to know in the class marjane thoughts that she want to be  a prophet she call her parents but they didn’t embarrassed or concerned about it .After that marine realized that its saver to don’t tell anyone what your thoughts are so she kept quiet . She saw her mother was very scared when her photo came in newspaper protecting against veil that no one will understand her . she was afraid for her life that islamic regime will identify her and she will get punished so she change her hair color and wear black glasses for a long time .That’s why marjane learn the lesson to kept her thoughts saver and don’t share with anyone.

To Build a Fire

After reading the story “To Build a Fire” i feel really bad for the young man who put his life in danger by not relaxing it can cause his death. He seems selfish and overconfident  to walk in a trial of yukon in that cold weather without having all the equipment , no sensible person can walk alone in that cold weather .It seems like on a cold gray morning everything was covered in snow . That gray and white color seems to be a sign of danger. Even though he didn’t care about his dog who was his only companion in that trial, he wanted to kill him to get some heat.he also put his dog life when he told him to walk on the path and check if the ice breaks or not and poor dog fell in ice water. He put his dog’s life in danger .

The wind sound and snowfall sound make that senene more scary and terrifying .There was no sign of creature near him all lands were covered with snow and when he started feeling that he is not able feel his body that time he realized that was not good decision walking alone without any companion but it was too late.
