Hello , our names are Sarah Frederique and Mercedes Aznar . Our project is about sexual Harassment of Interns . There are rules prohibiting workers from sexual harassment, those rules protects and helps workers but however , when it comes to interns there’s not much rules that protects them from sexual harassment, this leads to them being left vulnerable and unsafe in the work environment. Our project talks about this issue and shows various sources to demonstrate this issue . Throughout the project we have work with each other and our mentor Jeannette Espinoza to bring attention to this issue . We hope for interns to have more laws that helps and protects them from sexual harassment in the workplace.

“Roebling, before the bridge”, looks closely at the evolution of all of Roebling’s built work from his first bridges in Pittsburgh, to his suspension aqueducts for the Delaware and Hudson Canal System, to the first Railroad Bridge to span the Niagara Gorge, to the Cincinnati-Covington Bridge – his first to use large masonry towers, a direct predecessor to his final work the Brooklyn Bridge. Along the way, Roebling refined techniques in the manufacture of wire rope, conducted experiments in materials science and patented bridge building methods that changed how bridges were built. Looking closely at his works, the evolution of the development of his ideas and patented bridge building techniques, each bridge is examined carefully both in writing and in drawing form, clarifying the links from each of these works to his greatest, the Brooklyn Bridge, providing a level of detail of interest to those already familiar with Roebling and serving to introduce his work, to the next generation. John Augustus Roebling was arguably the world’s most well-known structural engineer of the 1800’s. While countless biographies on Roebling have been written there is no comprehensive overview of his engineering works. As many of these books contain factual errors, the goal of this book it to set the record straight both in writing and through illustrations of his projects created from reference to his original drawings. Of his ten significant built works, very little evidence exists, as only three remain today and much of his work predates modern photography. The goal of this research project is to focus on the development of consistent graphics for use in the layout of the book – including maps, perspective renderings and line drawings. The book is authored by Prof. Paul King, perspective renderings are the work of Adrian Rosario and maps and digital illustrations are the work of Raphael Casseb.
