Questions about course content: If you have a math question, you may ask it by submitting a post here on the OpenLab for anyone to answer. If it’s a WeBWorK question, click the Ask for Help button at the bottom of the WeBWorK screen to be taken to the WeBWorK Q&A forum.

Class meetings & office hours

Many course activities will be asynchronous. That means that much of the work that you do will be on your own time. There are three exceptions:

  1. COLD sessions: Every Tuesday from 10:00am to 11:40am, we will hold a Zoom session all together for Checking in Online and Live Discussion (COLD session).
    • The first part of each COLD session will be devoted to Checking in Online: going over your responsibilities for the week.
    • The second part of each COLD session will be devoted a Live Discussion to answer students’ questions about course content (like office hours).
  2. HOT topic presentations: These are 10-minute weekly scheduled one-on-one Zoom interviews with your instructor. Information is on the HOT topics page here.
  3. Study group meetings: You will meet with your study group every Thursday from 10:00am to 11:40am to discuss course hub lessons, WeBWorK, and your HOT topic presentations with your peers.

Office hours will be held Thursdays from 11:40 to 12:40 and by appointment.
