Introducing Tigist
My name is Tigist Demssie. My pronouns are she/her. I am currently majoring in accounting. The reason I chose this major is because I have always been interested in finance and numbers. And it’s a major that I believe will provide me with a stable and successful career. I enjoy cooking, drawing, and watching movies in my free time. After city tech, I want to earn my bachelor’s degree in accounting and eventually become a certified accountant and have a stable job. Something I’m good at is cooking. So far, I have been able to experiment with different recipes and create delicious meals for my friends and family. Something I need to work on is managing time more efficiently. Something that is interesting about me is that I’m from a country that has never been colonized in Africa, and it has its own calendar, as right now it is 2016, unlike the Gregorian calendar and I’m always proud of my country and its unique history. I am the oldest child out of 4 siblings; beginning the oldest has taught me a lot in life and it is something that made me who I am as a person as a mature individual.
Hello Tigist, you have really interesting interests and aspirations that shows you are a person who shows a strong sense of purpose and individuality. Your hobbies, such as cooking, drawing, and watching movies, show a well-rounded personality with creative and relaxing pursuits. I can relate to you I also love to cook as well as bake and bring joy to others with my cooking and baking. I always admire people who majors in accounting cause I know that isnât easy but Iâm very impressed that you can handle and manage it I wanna wish you all the best of luck in your future career!
My name is Omaima Himed. My pronouns are she/her. I am currently majoring in chemistry AS and I am currently taking prerequisites class for pharmacy. I want to get in associate in chemistry and finish the class I need before applying for pharmacy school. After I graduate I hope to get into a pharmacy school and start my journey from there. I have had 2 major before and I didn’t enjoy it so when I was looking up pharmacy I found out we might need an associate or bachelor in chemistry so then I need to switch it. I have taking Quantitative reasoning in 12th grade but with BMCC and transferred the credit to city tech and I have taking MAT 1275. I am good at cooking but middle eastern food. I learned how to cook because it’s part of my culture, I took advantage of quarantine when I was in 10th grade and started learning. one thing I am bad at is time management, I feel like I am all over the place and it very hard to stick into one routine. A interesting fact is I speak 2 language and hope feel I learn 3rd language. I want to learn Turkish I am currently looking at online classes for me to take but I might postponed it to later because this semester I am very busy. My favorite book is the Quran, I love reading it because I learn about my religion and I feel like it heals me. My favorite animals is horse, we had 3 of them when we were living in the Middle East but when we moved we sold them. I love animals but I am afraid of them sadly.
