Hello! My name is Gurjot Singh and if that is very hard for you to pronounce then you can just call me by my first name initial(G). Currently my major is computer systems, but i am more interested in computer science. I love to play sports, few that i am really good at is in cricket, volleyball, and basketball. There are more sports but i can’t name them. My favorite animal has always been a lion because a lion symbolizes pride and power, plus my last name(Singh) also means a lion. i like to take on challenges because they motivate me to work hard and be consistent with my work. I’m hoping that i get the chance to work with everyone and help each other throughout the semester. See you guys in class!

Hello! My name is Jacky and I am majoring in Electrical Engineering.  I will be taking Calculus 1 after Mat 1375. After graduating I hope I can go travel for a few months. I like listening to music and playing games. Something I am good at is taking naps. My favorite animal is a turtle.

Dear everyone! 

My name is Aminata Kane and my pronouns are Ami she/her/hers.I came from Mali “West Africa”and I arrived in the USA almost seven years ago. I am majoring in Liberal Arts and Science and the Dental Hygienist Program, and want to become a dentist in the future. I think I became interested in my major because when I came to the USA, I had some dental work done, and realized how important having healthy teeth is. 

When I graduate from City Tech, I want to work has a dental hygienist, save money, and apply to dental school. Some of my hobbies are reading, watching movies, and learning English. I also enjoy cooking African food from my home country. I believe myself and associate with other people, a hard worker and I am proud of all that I accomplished since I arrived in the USA. 

Coming to America from Mali, starting high school in the 9th grade, not knowing English because my native languages are Bambara and French, or having any friends in America, were challenges that I had to work hard to overcome. My favorite books are: Wonder ( R.J Palacio ), Silk Roads (Peter Frankopan) and Becoming (Michelle Obama), and my favorite animal is the bird. I’m looking forward to achieving my dream of making my goals realities in my life. 

Hello! My name is John Anthony but I go by JT. My pronouns are he/him/his, my major is Mechanical Engineering and I became interested in my major by influence from my friends and some classes that I took in high school. I will take MAT 1475 after MAT 1375. I hope to get a full time job and earn money so I can begin my life and help my parents pay for expenses, my interests and hobbies are: video games, playing basketball and volleyball, working on cars and going out with friends. I am good at math and science. I am proud of my work ethic. I overcame something difficult when I was younger and I had trouble reading. My favorite book is The Great Gatsby and my favorite animal is a Giraffe.

Hi, my name is Joseph and I am a Computer Systems major. Honestly, I had never really gotten interested in my major but thinking ahead it is definitely the future.  Hopefully before I graduate I will get into an internship that will open doors for me once I get my degree. Usually (depending on time of day) when I do have free time, I longboard with friends , practice photography, and play video games.  Something I am proud of is completing a 30 day kayaking/ backpacking trip in Alaska. I am hoping for a good semester.

Hello everyone my name is Judah Bowers and I am a third year student of City Tech. I am currently in the major of Computer Systems Technology. I became interested in this major because I was curious about how a software works on the inside which involves coding and I wanted to pursue in the programming field. I have technically graduated with my Associates Degree for Computer Information Systems but I’m willing to do another two years for my Bachelors Degree in Computer Systems Technology. I hope to do an internship or a job related to my major after I graduate. I play video games and watch anime on my free time.

Hello everyone, my name is Diamond Williams. this is my second semester of college at city tech and my major is computer systems technology. My reason for deciding cst as my major is because I was always interested in computers and the programs that run on them. My hobbies are reading, writing, hanging out with friends, and playing video games. I hope to achieve a high grade in this class and use these math skills in the future of my career

Hey class! My name is Noelia, although I would prefer to be called Noelle (Noel) and my pronouns are she/her/hers. My major is accounting, and the reason I  chose to stick with that major is because I enjoyed math. I kind of always got the hang of it and I appreciate the fact that there is always a right or wrong answer. Besides school, I work full time and I have hobbies which include singing, dancing, playing the piano, going out with friends, trying new foods, etc. I have two different goals, but one would be to be a performer. Doing things I love and that I’m passionate about or.. I can excel in what I am currently learning, which is accounting, and Develop a career in that field. Nice to meet you all and I look forward to having a great semester!

Hi! My major is in computer engineering because ever since I was a kid, there’s this feeling of excitement that comes to me when looking at bare electronic parts. I also love the feeling of accomplishment that comes with building putting PC components together or fixing other things, which is why I like having relatives ask me if they have any trouble concerning electronics. If I’m not wrong (correct me if I am) my major requires me to take MAT1575 and MAT2680. Other interests I guess would definitely be anime, I love to watch anime; also games, though I am not much of a shooters type of person, I prefer story driven games like Persona 5. When it comes to books, I can’t really say I am a book person but I find the Monogatari series of novels really interesting based on the ones I have read so far since not every book is translated to english yet.

Hey my fellow classmates. My major is biomedical informatics. My interests are running (competitively and recreationally), art, and fashion. I enjoy learning new things and overcoming challenges so  I look forward to working hard alongside all of you and passing  this course with an A! …
