This is my first year at City Tech, I didn’t choose a major yet but will probably choose Nursing next semester. I have problems socializing and am unapproachable so don’t take it as me hating you because I don’t even know who you are.

Welcome to CityTech, Eman! Socializing in college can be tough, especially your first year and especially if it’s not your thing. However, finding classmates that you can study with is extremely valuable. My first college math class was extremely difficult and it scared me and a bunch of my classmates enough that we started working together pretty early on. We continued to work together until we graduated and I’m still close friends with a number of these people today (P.S. We’re old! It’s been a long time!). I hope between the OpenLab and other ways of interacting, you’ll find something that works for you, even if it’s slightly outside your comfort zone.
I’m not used to working with others, I think I do well better alone but I do plan on getting out of my comfort zone a little more. Thank you for your encouragement!
I can understand how difficult it is socializing, so I get you there. Also nursing sounds like a great profession.
Thank you, I plan to socialize more in college to get over being shy. I won’t go looking for conversations though.
Nice to meet you Eman! Seems like a lot of people think that about someone when they choose not to socialize , lol I’m the same way . I try not to be as timid though, semesters go by faster when we have friends and discussions.
