For this course students had to focus on the academic as well as occupational writing such as lab reports and bids, emphasis on the documented report, summarizing material and writing letters. Written presentations frequently utilize visual aids such as graphics, maps and charts.
- Taking this course allowed me to build on my job application portfolio, as well as improving my writing in variety of formats for different audiences. In addition, a large chunk of this course also required me to practice the research conduction in order to write my technical report. Moreover, through this course I was able to practice professional oral presentations based on my research.
- For this assignment I had to conduct research and write a technical report titled, “The Scrub Nurse: Silent Communication and Role During the Surgery”. In this technical report I included information about the scrub nurses and the important role they plain in the surgical theater, and in the medical field. I also briefly introduce some definitions related to the surgical field and explain further the difference between technical and non-technical skills of a scrub nurse. Lastly, in this report I talk about the new technology emerging toward the surgical theater and scrub nurse field
