Notes:

Being that this is a rough draft of the poster for this project, I used images from the video game Metaphobia as placeholders since it’s mechanics are art style behave similar to this projects. The images will be replaced by screenshots when playing the project itself they are simply there in place as examples of what kind of images will be displayed on the poster and for organizational purposes (where exactly the images will be displayed alongside the text).

Overall, the final iteration of this poster will have less text and much more images of gameplay and development.

In the middle column regarding development and design, the aim is to have screenshots of the workflow process, gameplay and text alongside each image element briefly annotating the steps taken and methods used to accomplish developing this video game. For example, in this rough draft, there is a screenshot of characters conversing and the UI elements displaying the dialogue with the text annotating alongside the image explaining how that was achieved using Unity’s UI system. This way, the workflow process can be thoroughly broken down, clearly showing the amount of work that went into the project as well as the end results.

Questions:

  • Including the schedule?
  • Thoughts on how introduction can be revamped?
  • “For further information”: what information should be provided there? Rough draft has potentially links listed but seeing as this is a physical installation maybe that isn’t a good idea? (Curious about the inclusion of QR codes either leading to the itch.io link for the game itself OR portfolio which would probably make more sense?)
