Sweden’s Geography

Geografi – Geography

Sweden, which is one of the northernmost countries in the world, contains a population of estimated 10,284,000 and has an area of 172,750 square miles (Larson et al., 2020). The country’s capital city is Stockholm, and the national language spoken is Swedish. On the western border of Sweden they are adjoined to Norway, and on the opposite coastline by two bodies of water; the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia. The country makes use of all terrains and land offerings, whether it is animal farming, metal mining or fishing.

Lund is a popular destination, as it is the oldest city in Sweden dating back to the age of the Vikings (Figure 2). Visitors and tourists alike enjoy the bustling cities of Stockholm, for shopping, and Abikso, where one can get a fantastic view of the northern lights!
