Personal strenghts

My greatest strength as a nurse is being caring and compassionate. I try to understand the experiences and feelings of other people and show special kindness to those who suffer. As healthcare professional, I always ensure that patients feel comfortable and they are able to connect with me on a human level.  Rather than recognizing the differences between myself and others, I attempt to identify what we have in common. I believe that at the root of it all, we are all human beings who need attention, recognition, affection, and above all, happiness.  We all strive to be happy and for me compassion is one of the main tools for achieving that happiness.

One of my biggest strengths is being team player. I put an extensive amount of effort into working well with others. I strive to build trusty relationships with coworkers and supervisors through  a mutual respect and collaboration.  I believe that high quality teamwork in nursing is an essential to delivery quality patient care and meeting organization’s objectives. Additionally, strong relationships in the workplace can blossom into life-long friendships.

One of my personal strengths that I am proud of is my work ethic.  I have learned to be responsible, punctual and dependable.  As an  employee, I always  feel  personally responsible for my  job performance, I show up on time and  I put in my best effort  to complete projects to the best of  my ability. I am honest, trustworthy and  I accept responsibility for my actions.

I feel that these personal strengths have allowed me to be where I am today.
