On the recent assignment was based on visiting the website www.Archinect.com. In this website you find various things related or based on architecture. It’s a website were architects get to share ideas and explore. It’s like a social network, where you are able to comment on ideas or like. Also you could get internships or jobs based on what you are looking for. It also gives of information from previous or future projects and it keeps you updated. This is a great website to explore and see new concepts for the future and to show off your design. It also creates people to be opened minded and create new things. This is a great website to for architects and other people that are related to art.
In the website I watched a video of creating a change in New York City. It called Bjarke Ingels and Oliver Wainwright talk New York Dryline. Based on this video it shows how space could prevent flooding in lower Manhattan. They deciding to add more green space like public space, parks, active learning centers, bike lines, etc. Adding more green space water could be great it would observed by plants and having protecting walls that protects the city from storm events and flooding. This benefits the city from causing damage and creating more green areas. It also adds more space to the city were people could get more active by going to the parks or taking long walks. It’s also hard to come by space in the city where it’s crowed and limited space. This would be a great idea for the city. I believe that it contains lots of benefits for New York City.
