Archinect

After looking  on the website www.Archinect.com, Archinect is basically a website for previous and current news for architects on any kind of projects that architects are working on now, past or at the future. Furthermore, Archinect can display employment for any category that an architect can apply to, such as interior derringer, project architect: commercial architecture, executive assistant, and more. Also, this website has many colleges such as CUNY (City University of New York), Pratt Institute, Yale University, and others; just to explore the news that is going on right now or applying a  job for a company that can help build an architect’s dream. As I was scrolling down the news feature on Archinect, there was one title that caught me attention to, Was Rome Really a “City of Marble”? and when to the link to read the summary. During the summary, Architectural historian Diane Favro explains that during the advance model on the reconstruction of Rome, she mentioned that Rome wasn’t entirely made on marble. Favro found out that a few proportion of the Roman buildings are made on Marble and most of the buildings are made of brick. She believed that the movement of transforming brick to marble building was caused a illusion because construction was constantly on progress. In conclusion, the city of Rome wasn’t entirely made of marble but an illusion that people saw and believed it throughout centuries. Therfore, Archinect is a website for  architects to explore through; for news, employment, discussions, and commuinte with other architects. this website can come in handy when researching a project, contacting other companies for employment or read through articles that other architects post on.
