Bio

My name is Ling Yang, a sophomore student in City Tech. I am taking LAS classes preparing to transfer to Brooklyn College, majoring in Premed Biology. I am interested in biological field because people can discover more new things that they don’t know about human or other organisms before. I always feel surprised when I have my BIO and AP classes. I would like to do some researches which relate to human. Now I am working with Prof. Zameer’s biology laboratory. It’s a really good opportunity that I can work with a professor to do a research. We are looking immune system and nervous system’s interactions, and how they connect or functioning with each other. Being involved in the Bridges Program at City Tech gives me a lot of help in my academic life. It also gives me more chances to pursue my goal and achieve it. Because I participate to this program, I got the chance to see many amazing mentors, post-docs, and graduate students. Moreover, there are a lot of extra help provided, such as, math tutoring, Chem tutoring, and counselor advices for your future classes, and so on. This was truly a career changing experience for me that I am grateful to have had an opportunity to experience.

My Courses

American Government, Alexander Sections

American Government, Alexander Sections

This is the introductory course in American Government, with the main focus on the national level but some attention to state and local levels as well. This OpenLab site contains course materials as well as links to news sites and a discussion board to exchange ideas. Please keep disagreements friendly, and please keep in mind that our main purpose is more to analyze than to react and fume. When the course is over, as long as you still have an OpenLab account at City Tech, you are invited to continue posting on this discussion board. To access course materials, click “Visit Course Site” at the right of this page.
