The attached files contain summaries of the 1275-1375 progression over the span from F18 to F19. (I do not have Summer ’19 data.) These summaries attempt to answer two questions that have arisen in meetings over the past week.
Q: Regarding the 1275 retake policy – how have students historically performed when retaking 1275 with an “F” versus with a “W” or “WU”?
A: There are two files that deal with the data regarding students who retook 1275: one summary for students who retook the course after receiving an F; and another summary for those who retook after receiving a W or WU. Each file breaks out separate results for CO vs. NO.
Q: Regarding 1375 passing rates – what (if any) difference is there in the performance of students coming from CO vs. NO?
A: There is a third file that summarizes results from 1375 by looking at:
- those who were retaking 1375,
- those who (most likely) placed into 1375 (or otherwise had at least a one semester gap),
- students who came from 1275 (with separated CO vs. NO)
