Part 2 Summary:

In the article, “Schools Are Killing Curiosity’: Why We Need to Stop Telling Children to Shut up and learn.” Berliner Wendy is informing us what goes on in schools with children, they are being told to “shut up” not allowing children be curious. When children should be allowed to be curious it’s important for them to be curious it allows they to grow and further expand their knowledge. The author also gives us an insight on what goes on in a classroom and how the setting in a classroom is when a teacher shuts down students curious questions when they raise there hands, the teacher only tries to focus on the students who have questions on the main idea the teacher is teaching. Which then causes children to have this mindset to be quite and not ask any curious questions making them less creative. Overall the authors point of this article to show awareness that children should be curious and should be allow to express them self in asking questions.
