RQ: How did COVID-19 impact undocumented immigrants in America?

I’m thinking about writing an op-ed. I have encountered a couple of them during my research and would like to write my personal opinion on them. This will be ideal for me since I am passionate and have experience on my research question. Moreover, I would present and write an open letter to a politician to ensure that the voices of those who are affected by these laws are heard and considered. I would provide specific examples from my research on how the laws impacted undocumented immigrants during COVID-19 and the after affects that this community still faces. Lastly, another option I’m considering is a TEDtalk. Doing so can be a powerful way to raise awareness about the unique struggle this community faces but most importantly educate and help my classmates understand the complexities of the issue. I’m comfortable being open about this topic and publicly speaking on how it personally affects me.
