A video by Psych SciShow called “Are Violent Video Games Bad For You?” hosted by Hank Green debate that violent video games are dangerous because they make people playing them more aggressive IRL.2010 a meta-analysis of a hundred and thirty six papers looked at the meta-analysis showed that playing violent video games seems to temporarily increase. Studies presented by Green is The difference between Hardcore and casual gamers a 2015 study for instance found that more skilled players showed fewer Aggressive thoughts after playing a violent game. Then there is a Self-Determination theory, this theory to understand people’s motivations while they play games. The writer concludes that he has learned that Psychologists can’t exactly say what effect might have on you because new studies seem to show the differences in gamers and the game.
