Reading Response to Malcolm X – Alexis Rodriguez

“It went a lot faster after so much practice helped me to
pick up handwriting speed. Between what I wrote in my tablet, and
writing letters, during the rest of my time in prison I would guess I wrote
a million words.” – Paragraph 8
After the failure of trying to understand a book, that failure turned into determination then passion. With not understanding words has led to hours of practice on not only reading but writing the words in the dictionary. So much so that writing time has increased significantly thus improving efficiency in understanding both reading and writing. Not skipping any words, from page to page coping each word and it’s definition, learning new meanings and history, it pretty much sums it up to a minimum of learning roughly a million or so words.
