Hello my name is Laura Layne – Chase. I am a licensed professional registered nurse. I live and work in Brooklyn, New York. I received my A.A.S at the borough of Manhattan Community College and working to complete my Bachelor Degree at N.Y.C.C.T. I stated my career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was encouraged by a colleague to become a Registered Nurse. I work on a Medical Surgical unit taking care of patients with chronic diseases. Although I was hesitant to go back to school to earn my bachelor degree I am glad I did ,and enjoyed interacting with other nurses from other hospitals and healthcare facilities. Healthcare is evolving and changing rapidly, and I will have the knowledge and education to meet the healthcare needs of the population that I work with. I will continue to pursue nursing education to enhance my professional career.
