Wikipedia is a website that I personally use all the time when I want to know about something that recently found out or want to know more about. Unfortunately, every English Teacher tells me that I should never use Wikipedia on my research paper because the articles are based on the opinion of people who edit the website. It’s a bit disappointing, but I can understand why. If we could use Wikipedia for our research papers then we could have gotten false information about our research topic and that can effect our paper and grade. Social networking on the other is similar to wikipedia in the sense that people give their opinion on subjects, the same as Wikipedia except your friends won’t be experts on the topic. This is the same with Wikipedia because the people who edit the pages could be or aren’t experts. This is the problem with using Wikipedia to get out information on our research papers.
