In the article the author points out what kinds of problems the consumers are facing, because of there are many websites sneak through a loophole of P3P which allows third party cookies to be install onto the computer and collect personal data. The consumers should have a more restrained environment for privacy safety.

Springer-Verlag London Limited 2004. In the journal, the author states that P3P is essential for the online consumers, because the P3P provides a more user controllable policy. And the author also states that P3P is fundamental for the advancing of the future online privacy protocal.

In the artical, the author states what kinds of the differences the P3P has made for the internet users, Given them a more flexible way of controlling their personal data. The adoption of the P3P by the websites will provide a more secure environment for the internet users.

In the article the author points out that without enforcement and regulation, only a portion of the websites are adopting the P3P policy. Even with the P3P policy cannot guarantee the actual practise, without it would result a totally nightmare for the consumers.

In the journal, the authors express their points of view of the online privacy base upon the online privacy standard of many E-commerce website. The personal data of the internet users can be trade off for marketing purposes.
