This project was meant for us to create our company based on an interest we have. We had to create a logo and a mockup for the company. I chose to do a cafe that doubled as a gallery and decided to name it “Art Cafe”. The idea behind it was to have different art displayed inside the cafe that would change monthly. In order to design the company we had to research previous companies as well as create our own brand identity.
This project was interesting to work on as it made me realize what goes into a brand’s identity. The colors that I chose had to be meaningful and the logo had to have meaning behind it. For the logo I wanted it to be illustrated since it’s an art cafe and the colors were pastel to show a softer and give retro vibes. This helped me understand what I have to do in order to create my own identity and how others will perceive that identity as well.
