This week I continued helping one of the client’s with their street poetry book. As we were working on the book I learned more about his life.I also learned that he grew up in a rough area. As he told me more things about his life I told him more about mine. I feel like this helped both of us to get more comfortable around each other.
Each poem was about a different experience in the client’s life. The topics ranged from gun violence to drugs to love. There was a lot of passion and expression in his words. You could tell he felt strongly about each subject. He made his point very clear and didn’t beat around the bush. That’s what made his poems so interesting.
