In my early years at the college, I proposed working with the students on GIS skills development and integrating field investigation skills into the Building Technology Sequence.

The primary outcomes of this project were:

1. The focus on Place-based learning and the use of Case Studies in Building Technology I and II,
2. A Conference Presentation I made at the ESRI International Conference on our project.
3. The emphasis on three dimensional modeling in Building Technology I and II assignments.
4. Inquiry-based learning approach to these courses.
