Product Distribution

Japanese product distribution is limited. Due to the lack of space, many retailers have limited stock and omni channel selling is encouraged. Despite the traditional way of life particularly when it comes to business they are definitely pushing boundaries with the new way business is being done.

Although, times have changed, Japan is still heavily relying on the keiretsu system. This is an old school system that relies on close knit relationships and loyalty.

The main distribution ports that Japan has are in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Osaka, and Fukuoka. (Distribution & Sales Channels, 2020)
