Having the proper documentation is important when heading to a job interview. Be sure to have photo ID and a social security card ready to take. Make sure to bring at least three copies of the resume and cover letter. Also bring copies of your references. Any license required for a job position must be brought to the interview.  A high school and college diploma should be kept at hand. Have photocopies of all documents to give to the interviewer but also have the original documents on person in case the interviewer wants to see the original proof. It is a good idea to hold the documents in a folder. Documents should not be wrinkled or stained. Before the interview, inform the references that an employer may be contacting them.
