PART II

Artisanal is a way some craftsmen used to make easily handmade objects. Simple things like bread and more foods. Basic things that don’t require lots of machinery or workers.

PART III

A community is a variety of people that may live in the same area and/or they have similar interests or hobbies. Everyone is a part of a community they could be a part of one or lots. A community can vary from your hobbies, interests, nationality, job, sexuality and so on. Artisanal is in a community of people with craftsmen talent or anyone who makes things from handmade or traditionally.

In the food wise it could be used by cooks, bakers, people who can make wine or cheese. Artisanal works usually always require less work, employers and training need to get it done. Usually, it’s done by a small business or its a self-employed thing. For example, in a vineyard is sometimes using artisanal way to make their products. Most wines nowadays are made by recipes passed down by generations or handmade. You have to grow grapes and the grapes are then squished until they are all liquid and so on. Not much work has to be put to make wine. It also goes with bakeries, many bakeries make what’s called artisanal bread. The bread that was made with fresh products and easily made. The bread is usually doesn’t have lots of packaging and it’s always up to sale once its fresh out the oven. Not only is it with bread but with other baked goods.

Not only the word can fit in a cooking world, but it could also be in a community of arts and crafts. In various countries in South America, you can always find older people making clay pottery, blankets or any type of clothing out of hand. The word Artisanal in Spanish is “Artesanal” which also means handmade and it has the word art in it. Pottery is made with clay in a wheel, your hands and with a little bit of water. You can either make cups, bowls, plates, jars anything that can come up to your mind. Once you finish shaping it you leave it to dry for a few days. Once it’s dry you can paint it if you wanted, add various colors and images. Which then can be given up for sale. And you will most likely find it in a market or anywhere. The same thing goes with the clothing that’s made by hand. Simple things like gloves, hats, socks, sweater or blankets. All that can be needed is string, yarn but its most importantly based on what you’re making and how big you can be making it. You will see older people making clothes because of past generations that’s what they would be taught. These things like pottery and clothing are made by handmade in most South American countries. And it has probably been passed down by generations and it takes fewer people to make and it will always come from small or self-employed businesses.

Therefore, Artisanal fits in many communities that involves making things by hand or traditionally. It can fit in a food-wise aspect or arts and crafts both make them from scratch or in a way that’s been passed down by generations. All the people like cooks, bakers or craftsmen all have the same interest so it would be considered to be one community.
