Objective: To breakdown and understand how a game works in Blender using some game examples.
Materials: Blender, blender’s example game kit files
Methods: open up the pinball.blend game under the game folder in the gk-files you downloaded on the Blender wiki/manual. Quick note: make sure you d-select the load UI box. Now look how they assembled the game. poke around all the objects and how they connected it with the sensors, controllers and actuators under the game logic editor.
Results: After I seen all the different objects and how they made it work together, I get the general motion of it. They used some tricks to make it look like a real pinball machine and not have the ball go outside the box. I will try to incorporate those techniques on future projects.
