Please tell me what game you think I should try – and remember – that doesn’t necessarily mean your favorite – it means the one that’s best for me!

Well, I’m going to suggest some games that… well, I think at least a couple of us have played.
Robot Unicorn Attack – uses just two keys, z and x.
Doodle God – combine different elements to make new elements. Make them all and win.
Portal: The Flash Version – a 2D level-remake of the game Portal.
Gemcraft – a tower defense game.
Knightmare Tower – ascend a tower by bouncing on monsters.
Burrito Bison Revenge – … a uh… unique game.
Minecraft – can be bought or played for free, but you can only play creative in free mode.
Lord of the Rings Online – free to play, an MMORPG, based off of… you guessed it, Lord of the Rings. Can be played on a Mac.
Pacman – … Pacman.
Now for games that are for consoles but… talk to me about them off the class blog.
Pokemon for Handheld Consoles (Red/Blue, Yellow, Gold/Silver, Crystal, Ruby/Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond/Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold/Soul Silver, Black/White, Black 2/White 2) – highly popular series.
Pokemon for N64 (Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Stadium 2, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Puzzle League, Hey You Pikachu) – another part of the highly popular series.
Final Fantasy for Console (Final Fantasy I-XII) – part of the main series of the game; I think most of the people in our class have played at least one of these.
Final Fantasy [other] (Tactics, Tactics Advance, Crystal Chronicles) – offshoots of the main series or otherwise unrelated, but in similar or related universes.
Super Mario Bros. (the original, Bros. 3, World 2: Yoshi’s Island, 64, Sunshine) – again, pretty sure all of us have played at least two of these.
Super Mario Bros. [other] (Dr. Mario, Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario) – … and all of us have played at least one off of this list.
Donkey Kong – (original, Country, Diddy Kong’s Quest, Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble!, 64) – … once more, pretty sure all of my class mates have played at least one of these.
Zelda (The Legend Of, Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess) -I think all of us have played “The Legend of Zelda” or “Ocarina of Time”, but I could be wrong.
Sonic (the Hedgehog, the Hedgehog 2, & Knuckles, Advance 2, Sonic Adventure 2, Shadow the Hedgehog) – … I think all of us have played at least TWO of these, if not three.
Kirby (Block Ball, Return to Dreamland, 64: The Crystal Shards, Return to Dreamland) – … everyone knows him, but most nobody’s played his games, surprisingly enough!
Lemmings – So fun, so old, and referenced often.
Street Fighter – We’ve all played this.
Mortal Combat – This too.
Snake – You’ve probably played this!
Frogger – Oldy, but most have played.
Q*Bert – See above.
Metal Slug – See above.
Tetris – See above.
Bomberman – Not many recall playing this.
Megaman – Or this game or its offshoots.
Duck Hunt – We all hate the dog. Play it and you will too.
Excite Bike

Metroid – blew the world away when the character you’ve played the whole game turns out to be… a woman!

Download a program called Steam and see if you can get/play Portal.

I have yet to come across a person who dislikes portal! (It’s a puzzle game btw)
I realized that in the comments no one has actually fullfilled your request for good wii games so here comes david to the rescue. I don’t know if you’re into Super Mario or anything but games like Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros., and Super Mario Galaxy are great and easy games for beginners. If you want something a little more challenging then Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess or Red Steel 2 are some good picks.
I’m not sure how many you plan on getting, but if you get a lot of games, you end up with a lot that you don’t ever play. I recommend Gamefly if you plan on trying a bunch of games. You only get one or two at a time, but it’s pretty much the same as Netflix, send em back, get a new one.
For the Wii I recommend the BIT.TRIP COMPLETE collection. 6 games each with completely different gameplay.
As for the Mac, I recommend World of Goo, Sanctum, AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome (that’s the actual title), Solar 2, and TRAUMA. I’ve also heard good things about Braid, Super Meat Boy, and Bastion.
Now, there are two personal favorites of mine for how immersive they are, but they’re also a little on the scary/gruesome side. Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and LIMBO. I recommend you look at the trailers for these before playing them (particularly LIMBO).

Oh, by the way, I know that handing you a library isn’t that helpful unless you have all the time in the world, but with other people’s suggestions these are good short term sources!
