Lab Report Week 2: Blender UI familiarization, and messin’ with the game logic

Objective: Become comfortable with the blender UI and Logic editor.

Material: Professor Baker, 3d enviroment and physics engine

Method: Followed along on my desktop as Professor Baker lectured and showed us what to do.

  1. Enter the game logic interface panel
  2. Added a keyboard sensor to the default cube
  3. connected the sensor to a “AND” controller
  4. connected the controller to a visibility actuator.
  5. ran the world and made the cube go invisible when I hit the keyboard.

Results:  After assigning the space bar to the sensor I was able to make the cube turn invisible when I pressed it.

Discussion: I first had issues getting it to work so I just scrapped it and restarted the program. After that I was able to turn it invisible. I then added a simple motion actuator and had my cube fly off the screen. I want to look into controlling the cubes movement better.

If any of you guys know how to make a box bound back and forth on the screen, If you do I really would like to figure out how to do that.
