Objective: My goal is to define common blender terminology and create a simple tutorial for blender relating to one of the terms defined.
Material: Professor Baker, 3D modeling environment
Method: Followed along on my desktop as Professor Baker lectured and showed us what to do.
Results:
- X, Y, Z axes – Planes of space used to measure an object within a digital environment. In blender they are represented by the red, green, and blue arrows
- Translate- Moving along one of the 3 axes. The object in blender moves as if it were on rails.
- Rotate- Rotating around an axis. In blender the object looks like it is surrounded by lines when in rorate mode
- Scale – Stretching an object along an axis
Tutorial – To make an object rotate around an axis:
1. While in object mode select the rotate manipulator
2. We then select the colored line corresponding to the axis we wish to rotate around
3. Left click and hold as you move the mouse to rotate around the axis
I didn’t understand the definition for tutorial or was that supposed to be defining another terminology?
?
Bullets? Really? You just had to go overboard didn’t you?
