Thursdays are usually the slow days. There are meeting happening in the office so the design team members that are in the office usually donāt talk much. And there are usually only three of us out of the approximately nine team members in that day. However, today was a different day. This was the day before the CUNY Cue Conference. Everyone was in the office. There were meetings, coworkers running around, and even our supervisor was busy making the rounds. The office was so hectic I didnāt have time to do any of my work. In the afternoon we set out to the Academic building to hang the signage for the conference. I gained the nickname āEdward Tapehandsā because I was assigned with holding the tape. It was a very sticky job. Eventually, we managed to hang up the signs, and then we went into our staff room to start organizing the materials that would be handed out to the people coming into the CUE Conference. After that I was practically finished with the day. I had no heart to do any homework. So I did what any person would do: Go see Avengerās Endgame for the second time.

Internship Journal #10 – The CUE Conference Countdown ā D4
The CUNY CUE Conference is right around the corner. In three days, I am set to take pictures of the various presentations that is happening around the Academic Building. Iām realizing now that I forgot to tell a little bit about what the CUE Conference is about. The CUNY CUE Conference is a CUNY wide event where multiple presenters are speaking about improving education through effective teaching methods. And City Tech is the host of this very big event. Itās so big the entire design team is coming in to assist the event. Some of us are assisting the staff during the event. Some of us are assigned to help the presenters and the guests that are coming. And some of us are assigned to capture the event. I am assigned as a photographer and I was given my schedule for which rooms I am going to. I do have to give props to one of my design team members. He oversaw all of the signage for the entire conference. I canāt begin to imagine how stressful that is. I on the other hand was not as stressed out. I had to make changes to a past poster design for a Summer Workshop and as of now Iām waiting on client feedback. However, this has been pushed aside because of the CUNY CUE Conference. Maybe after the CUE Conference I will feel the heat again, especially with finals week looming in the horizon.
Internship Journal #9
There is a big event happening on May 10th. There is this conference called the CUNY CUE Conference. My internship supervisor sent the design team an email declaring that it is full steam ahead. The office is supposed to be very busy prepping for it. Various design team members were tasked with deliverables to make or were given positions to attend to the day of the Conference. Not only is my promo video premiering at the CUNY CUE Conference, though technically it will be premiering the day before, but I was also tasked with being a photographer. I started noticing the hustle and bustle as soon as we came back from Spring Break. There was more activity than usual on a Monday.
I am currently working on a flyer/poster for an upcoming Summer Math Prep Workshop and I must say, I bet I have the easy end of the stick compared to my design team members. We are meeting as a whole team soon to prep for what weāre doing CUE Conference day. Iām really looking forward to this. It might possibly because one of my design team members insist that we carry walkie talkies and dress as Secret Service agents.
