1996 Villa di Capezzana, Carmignano DOCG, Italy
A mouth full of wine… the nose is powerful showing a combination of smoke, tobacco, fig and cocoa. The palette was smoother than I anticipated, with fig and prune notes. The acidity makes me think this wine, already 14 years old, could age another five years.

The original cork was attached to the bottle, this bottle was recorked in 2011 as it prepared to be released for sale.
