From my reading so far I have noticed the âingredientsâ of the education narrative genre is that when authors writing storyâs they begin with a self background informations, about things they went through and what would the rest of the story be about. For example in English when we are reading a story the author always starts of with a background information, so he/she can get the audience or reader comfortable with the story base. They start by talking about where they grew up or when they were young, for example In my reading âMaybe I could save myself by writingâ He talked about his childhood. And how he felt like he did not belong anywhere he went, when he mentioned âwhen I was a teenager, I felt like I belonged nowhereâ he also said how he had to walk with his head down at all time, but due to these cause he became interested in poetry.
What I think might be a good place to get started with my own education narrative is explaining my struggle from where I came from. Give reason on how or why I got interested in writing, because thatâs where I feel most safe is when I write. Do it as if like I was an author and somebody was reading my book, where the author start off by talking about their most dark moments and moments that made them who they are today.
My questions or concerns about writing an educational narrative of my own would be that i would feel like I am not using enough words that a college student supposed to be using. And that my self explanation wouldnât caught the audience attention. That would probably be my biggest concerns.
