During my late middle school days from 7th and 8th grade to nearing the beginning of my high school life I was in an after school program taht at first I wasn’t to fond of but then grew to realize that these will be some of the most important times in my life. I grew an attachment to the basketball program and to sport as well as the friends I made during my period there for 2 years.
I remember a specific day when my friend just had a heart attack in the middle of the court. In the moment we had all felt tense for a good period. He was sent away to get medical help, we all stood around for a few minutes to process what just happened. After a bit our coach sat us down in the middle of the court and he began to give his a speech about taking non of this for granted or along those lines.
The feeling I had while he was talking to us, I felt safe and comforted with all the friends around me. I knew no matter what everything was going to be alright and I knew I could count on them if anything come up just like what had just happened a moment ago. From there on afterward I grew an even stronger attachment and found out my friend was alright after the heart attack. Those times with everyone being there for each other is something I will never forget.
