For part one, we were to create an image depicting a theme of our choice and doing so by using opacity and colors. The most difficult part of the drawing was the ball. Finding appropriate colors, opacity and really imitating the stitching of an actual ball. The leg has slight opacity in it. I made the spectators behind the goal opaque to give it that player’s perspective from the field. The field is opaque. I think i could’ve done more with the colors and opacity.

Layers

Part two of the project was the difficult part for me. Finding a good enough background that can really set a scene was hard to find. Moreover, finding images that can compliment the background, the lighting etc. was just as hard. I was messing around with different locations like a plane cabin, highway, race track, country road, until I landed upon a alley way that happened to be located in a town in India. I instantly thought of cricket since it is the most popular sport there. I searched diligently for photos that can fit into the image without seeming too out of place. The objects I implemented are the players, the wicket, the helicopter and the two sleepy dogs. The only objected I really had to adjust was the laying dog. I created layer masks to fix shadowing. Messed around with the curve of white and dark tones in the image to make it match. I wish I had our in more objects.
